Share your views on climate change by completing our survey
Core Data e-polling and News.com.au are currently running an on-line survey to discover what Australian's think about global warming, climate change; and Nuclear Power plants - as a way forward into the future...
They are seeking YOU to complete a very short online survey...through News.com.au's on-line News service...to guage the shifting opinion of the Australian population...
It is important for you to have your say, because as I have said before, fossil fuels are running out and the government is pushing for nuclear power...for example, one of the questions asked in the survey ... "Would you feel comfortable with a Nuclear Plant within 100km of your house...?
This is your chance to contribute to the decisions that affect those the politicians will eventually make...

But it did take longer than 2 minutes to complete, and it's not that I'm slow.
Didn't like the news plugs at the end.
But a good cause, on your recommendation, otherwise I don't think I would have bothered.
I do not have a good opinion of 'miserable' survey takers, those willing to do them should be paid Properly, with this being a possible exception.
Avoid eploitation, and I am looking around at that right now, not you, dear, not you.
How could I resist that wonderful Polar Bear, even tho he'd probably eat me. Not bad to think someone still fancies me.

I also am keen to see the results because I have been following this Nuclear 'push' for a while now... and I feel that the powers-that-be have already decided... they are just waiting for 51% of the population to concur...

I agree wholeheartedly and why I decided to start this blog... thank you for being involved... would you agree that it is fair to say that the average Australian is generally under-informed... and is it by choice? I hope I do make a difference...
Since when did talking about the environment become taboo...?

.. a lovely gesture...I had no idea you were in US... nice to see interest in this subject. Do you think that Australia's decision will affect America (it's usually the other way around), I'd be interested to know if you have a similar 'push' there ... I'm about to googgle Hillary C. to see what kind of green policy she is peddling if any...especially the Kyoto situation.... Deorre, do you know what the time difference is between the east coast of Australia and where you are?

Yeah, they are definitely under-informed. It comes back to the whole laisez-faire attitude and the apathy that surrounds the current generation. You know....'if it aint broke, don't fix it' kind of stuff. It drives me insane.
30 years ago university students and the young adults of various countries made a difference, just through protesting. But these days, people can't be bothered, and those who do are usually so extreme left that their views become unattractive. They no longer cater to an array of diverse opinions - it's their way or the highway. This is a big problem in our country.
Actually I don't think any of my friends read a newspaper or watch the news. I think it's very important to know what's going on around the world and to be aware of issues like that in your post.

They are publishing it on the internet on News.com.au and I will publish the results on this site... I really look forward to these results becuase - as I said - I know the government is fishing here for a 51% majority... I feel that things will move fast after that and nuclear plants, nuclear desalination, wind farms and all sorts of things will start springing up everywhere shortly after...regardless of which government is in power...

Exactly, what you say is so true... and then the whole cause is usually abandoned... public support lost! The problem is staying focused and not getting too angry when apathy is rampant... gosh, I've even lost it a couple times myself *lol* I reconcile now that if I can reach just one person a week, I'm doing well... I try not worry about the clock ticking so much when I come up against people who feel that talking about the environmental situation is taboo???
I think the new 'green' is 'blue' actually because of the fanatics... there was something on the radio the other day, but I missed a lot of it... either way, I am continually impressed here in Orbleand by the many orblers such as yourself that are continually proving that we [the people] DO care... it's encouraging because I rarely expect responses and am overwhelmed sometimes by the many I do get... thanks...

I'm no expert on Hillary, I mean I like that a woman may run a predominantly patriarchial system and I don't mind Ms RIce ... but in the end Indira Ghandi couldn't do much for India and as I said on another post... I wonder if she isn't just a puppet symbol in many ways ... or a real sign of the changing times... I hope the latter and as a woman it excites me bcause there is hope for real change perhpas...don't really know do we...
Otherwise she is a mystery and I haven't had time to google-her properly yet... I don't even know if she is 'green' or what her policies might be... but my next post will... thanks.

...if only we implemented these changes before time... yes I agree and cell phones have been radiating our heads for years. But Nuclear is not the only way to go in Australia and places that have so much sun and wind, however free energy does not appeal to the governments of the world it seems, despite the technological ability....?

What really gets me angry is that there is so much free energy 'stuff' on the planet - already invented - and yet like Bruce DePalma's machine, cannot be switched on for fear of being arrested... all because it flouts conventional physics...
I have read much about Europeans and Russians too, who seem very advanced in so many respects... Nikola Tesla always come to mind … yes, it is very funny to live within the propaganda of the greatness of a system and yet not see that greatness reflected around you... I agree with you... who would have thought of a pencil... and yet when it comes to voting we still use them and not gel pens...?
*Still laughing* at your comment…
